| The mailman started to chase the mail and he...was
able to get most of the letters, but some of them flew into the woods and he was not able
to find them. One of those lost letters belonged to poor Sue. Sue's envelope was caught on the branches of a big tree. A curious squirrel
came along and started sniffing at the strange object. He had never seen anything like it
and before long another squirrel wanted to see it as well.
The two squirrels started arguing over the envelope, which had
slipped down off the branches and landed on the ground.
Two boys were out playing in the park when one of them noticed the
envelope lying on the ground. He picked it up, and became very curious to know what was
inside such a heavy envelope.
He noticed that it had been addressed and stamped and had
obviously gotten lost before it got to where it was going. He knew that the right thing to
to was to put it back into the closest mailbox, but he was dying to know what was inside
